I am a Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist and Professional Clinical Counselor. I received a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute.
I became a therapist as a second career with the motivation to work in service of others. I have always had an earnest longing to “help make the world a better place”. I now see therapy as my way to support personal, and ultimately social change, one relationship at a time. I am rooted in my work as a trauma-therapist, previously providing care to survivors of interpersonal violence at UCSF. That experience shapes my private practice in how I hold compassion for each person’s unique journey toward healing and growth. While our struggles can sometimes feel overwhelming and insurmountable, each of us is in fact so much more than our worst moments, greatest adversities, or most painful mistakes. I am driven each day by the opportunity to help clients rediscover and activate their whole integrated self.
I was born & raised in Northern California where I continue to reside with my partner, two sons and extended community of friends & family. I maintain my sanity and resilience as an avid reader and reality-TV watcher. I would like to include regular hiking and exercise in this list, but I too am a work in progress. My happiest place is in the kitchen on a Sunday afternoon: chatting, laughing and feeding friends and family.
